“You're not a number - you're a free man”

Portmeirion is surrounded by 70 acres of exotic woodlands, and magical trails, in and out of each other. In 2020 it will be the 6th 6th Trail to be held in this amazing location. A 6km run, a ‘challenging’ trail run in the “Gwyllt” woods 2020 (March 28th 11am). We as a team have brought it forward by a month due to the number of weddings been held in Portmeirion.

The 2014 race was the first time for this type of event had been hosted in Portmeirion village. The 2020 trail run / race will be the same distance as previous years, 6km which is different to 5k or 10k, (but why not), and will go into other areas of the Portmeirion grounds. We will include a kids race in conjunction with HEBOG Runners. Great comments from people as well, fun runners, and the elite, and many of the latter feeling as they have ran a half marathon not a 6km!!

It’s a NEW trail race on the calendar and its unlike any other, held in an very iconic location.  Dont miss the exclusive opportunity to run within the “Gwyllt” trails by registering for the event in 2020.

It will be a  limited to number of athletes to run on the trails as we, as organisers, need to respect the environment and nature with the Gwyllt as it’s a designated conservation area. We will, importantly, be working very closely with Portmeirion village and the ground staff.

Routes, maps, picture and news will be available through Facebook, Twitter and also the news page and why not register your email address for a newsletter monthly.

A link to view the route, gradient, distance etc will be made available shortly for any new runners that will resgiter. Please visit the vimeo site CREAD Cyf to view the 2014 and 2015 6th trail promo OR click on home page and follow the link.

A big thank you to all who attended the race over the last 5 years. Looking forward to see you all in 2020.
